Irvine Football holds several fundraisers throughout the year. Between the rising costs of equipment and the educational budget crisis in our state we count on maximum participation in all fundraisers to give our team the best possible high school football experience. Some of the fundraisers include:
The Vaquero Ironman Challenge
This event is a competition where players can win prizes based on how much total weight they can lift in relation to their body weight. The way it works is each plaer receives 1 attempt in each of the three main strength exercises we train (Power Clean, Squat and Bench Press) for the first $50 they raise. For each additional $50 a player raises he will earn 1 extra attempt in the exercise of his choice. Each player can attempt each exercise up to 5 times so the more money a player raises the more total weight he should lift. Players will also be competing in other events with their assigned team squadron to earn prizes.
